Grades K-1
K-1 measurement and assessment is still evolving. Because progress checks need to look different depending on where a young writer is developmentally, we're prototyping approaches and talking with K-1 teachers directly — through interviews and surveys — to make sure what we build truly supports them.
Grades 2-5
Pre- and post-assessments are available for all Grades 2-5 Genre units. Correlating rubrics are also available.
To download an assessment:
- Open a pre- or post-assessment lesson in a Genre unit and select a document.
- When the document opens, click Download to select your preferred option.
